Not gonna lie- these two make it easy to be a photographer. Their decision to see each other beforehand and have a private bride and groom session gave us the time to play that we may not have gotten on their wedding day. Christian enjoys rebuilding classic cars and this shoot gave us the opportunity to incorporate that!

Terri and Darren are one of those couples that we were genuinely sad when their wedding was over because we enjoyed working with them so much. Luckily for us, we have become friends and look forward to future events in their lives!

Darren is from England and it was amazing to see some of the traditions that come along with a half English wedding. Our favorite was the anticipation of Terri walking down the aisle because it is English tradition that the Groom is not allowed to see the Bride until her father gives her away. As you can tell from the highlight video, Darren’s reaction to seeing his beautiful Bride is priceless!

We had such a great time with Terri & Darren, and we look forward to capturing many more moments in their family’s life.

After getting to know Erin and Zach I am convinced they are going to take over the world. Whether they are hiking, skiing, or repelling off a mountain in their current state of Colorado their feet still stay squarely on the ground! They are genuine, down to Earth and the kind of folks who enjoy a refreshing brew. Lord knows if they lived a little closer we would have taken them to the Abita brewery. We are overjoyed to see where life takes these two!

Sometimes a photo session really shows you how small the world is! We showed up to photograph this amazingly cute family and I realize that the mother went to my elementary school and is best friends with my best friend from elementary school. THEN I realize that the father was in 3rd grade class with me…..AND that his sister was one of my volleyball coaches in high school. Pretty cool huh?! Whether we were attempting to convince the little one that rain boots are so last season, or keeping bubbles out of the picture, we sure had a blast!

Kristen De La Rosa is someone who is near and dear to my heart. I met her when I was 4 years old and it is such a rewarding experience to see her children just as playful and vibrant as we were at their ages. I stood in Kristen and Chris’ wedding and their love for each other and family is undeniable. Kristen has always been someone who believed in me and my photography and it is impossible to put into words what that means to me.

Later this year we will be photographing the wedding of the father and future step mom for this little guy. If chasing him around Jackson Square is any indication of the wedding day it should be fun!

For the longest time I had this idea in my head of a very light, whimsical dress up scene for a little girl. Bria turned out to be the best little model for the job! We pulled a variety of completely random vintage finds, everything from an antique sewing machine I found in my grandparent’s garage to the horn my grandfather used on his boat. I believe these really add to the whimsy!

Aimee is the kind of girl that makes me wish I was 18 again. She lives life to the fullest and always looks cute doing it! I was so proud to photograph her graduation pictures because anyone would be lucky to photograph such a cute girl and I knew her personality would really shine.

Maggie is a rare find. She is gorgeous, talented and insanely down to Earth. Maggie needed headshots before heading to the Big Apple to pursue her career in singing and acting predominately in the theatre. After graduating from Tulane University last Summer she finally had time to set up the session just days before her big move to the big city. We fell in love with her personality during the shoot and keep in touch. I hear she is doing amazing and we will not be the least bit surprised when she gets her big break!

Oh my goodness can you say cute?! Katherine and Matt are a gorgeous couple. I cannot wait to photograph Katherine’s Bridals next month. Look for those soon!

Haley & Craton are a very special couple. Full of life and thrilled to be starting their lives together. Both of their smiles were full and shining with excitement. Two fantastic people and we are happy they involved us.

These two have stolen our “Who Dat” little hearts! We cannot wait to see where life takes these two. We personally believe that Drew Brees is one of the best role models a young kid can have, and maybe these two are in training….Possibly the next Mannings!
